May 12 - Senate Passes Gun Safety Measures - Cannabis Conference Committee Meets


The Minnesota Senate DFL majority passed new gun safety measures on a 34-33 vote.

The gun safety measures are part of an $880 million public safety spending package that includes red flag laws and background checks. The red flag laws give judges the authority to remove guns from individuals determined to be dangerous while background checks will include the private transfer and gun show sales of fire arms.
